Oh what a month it has been! I was able to go to New York for a week on a business trip with my husband! It was SO MUCH FUN!! We got home just in time to have a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving with my little family and my sister and her family. Then I was able to decorate my house for Christmas!!
I wanted to show you an easy fun craft you can do that makes KILLER presents!!! I saw this done on How Does She a while back and loved it!
First thing you need is to go to World Market and pick up some of their mugs! I LOVED the stacking mugs. My family has a thing for Carmel Apple Cider and Hot Coco during the holidays. Now I have the cups to go with it! Best part about it… No one fights over the “special” cup, everyone has their own!!!
I used Outdoor/permanent vinyl. Cut it with my Cricut and stuck it on! Easy as that!! The Font I used was Black Boys on Mopeds, it’s one of my favorite fonts! You can find it HERE
Next up I wanted to share with you one of my family traditions…
Left Over Turkey is Never thrown out at our house!!! Here is a family recipe for Turkey and Egg Sandwiches… They are better known in my family as Fear Factor Sandwiches. They were given the name by my nephew who asked what was in them… In all my life though I can’t think of anyone who would turn one of these sandwiches down. FANTASTIC!!!
2 Cups diced turkey
2-3 hard boiled eggs, chopped up
Salt and Pepper, to taste
Mix everything together in a microwave safe bowl. Add enough Miracle whip to make it moist. All of the seasoning is just done to taste… Once it is mixed together heat in microwave until warm. Serve on a toasted hamburger bun, left over rolls, or regular bread! Enjoy!!
Because I have been gone so long and haven’t posted in what seems like forever you are getting 2nd helpings! Here is what you do with your mugs! Make Carmel Apple Cider! Have you ever tried the Carmel Apple Cider at Starbucks? HEAVEN!!! My budget doesn’t allow me to indulge in Starbucks goodness all the time so I made up my own recipe! My husband told me this recipe taste better then Starbucks.
Here is the recipe
(For my family of 6…)
6 Cups apple Juice (I prefer the Tree Top Brand, tastes the BEST!)
2 Tablespoons cinnamon flavoring
1/2 Cup Heave Cream
1/2 Cup Carmel Flavoring (I use the DaVinci Gourmet Caramel Syrup, found in the coffee aisle)
Mix everything together in a large pot and heat it until it steams, don’t boil. Top it off with some whipping cream and a sprinkle of nutmeg. ENJOY!
