I woke up extra early this morning just so I could take down all my Halloween stuff and start putting up my Thanksgiving decorations. I don’t know about you but I have TONS of Halloween stuff and very little Thanksgiving stuff… I’m hoping to change that a little bit this year.
As I was setting up my Thanksgiving decorations, I thought of this craft. I wanted something to take the place of my Trick or Treat light… I had a lot of comments and emails about it and so I thought I would show you all how I made my Thanksgiving light.
You can get the glass blocks, stands, and lights at Hobby Lobby. They also sell them at other craft or Hobby Stores. Then you will need paint, I just used the acrylic paint I had on hand.
I also used my cricut for some vinyl and some left over brown tulle from some other project.
Step One… Paint a small hand. Change the color on the fingers if you want different Feathers. My 3 year old was more then happy to help!
Then carefully lay their wet hand on your glass block. This is the toughest part of the whole craft!
Don’t you love my daughters hair and Ariel Costume? It’s not even her costume it’s her older sisters… I really do dress and clean up my kids but today it was what ever made her happy while I cleaned up decorations.
Add some vinyl and the bow and TA DA! Super cute Thanksgiving decoration I will love for years!
